As Catchment Coordinator, you'll work closely with a wide range of external partners (including conservation charities, landowners and Local Authorities) and internal teams, taking an integrated catchment-based approach.
- You'll work together to identify and drive activities that offer multiple benefits and ensure that environmental improvements are delivered through effective and innovative interventions in the catchment.
- You'll work closely with Catchment Partnerships and other stakeholders to identify, develop and deliver partnership projects in the catchment and look for funding opportunities. You'll communicate the EA’s priorities and help them understand our data, evidence and processes, ensuring that we get the best environmental outcomes.
- You will work with Area teams and partners to better integrate the business, specifically by leading on virtual catchment delivery teams. An integrated catchment-based approach is essential, and you will need to use environmental data to develop projects with multiple benefits.

The team
- The role is based in the Thames Area Environment Programme Team. The team delivers a variety of environmental projects working in partnership with both internal and external partners, focussing on integrated outcomes to deliver multiple benefits for the environment.

Experience/skills required
- Relevant work experience in catchment scale river restoration and partnership working would be an advantage, however being able to demonstrate the following skills is what is most important:
- Effective communication with a range of colleagues, customers and partners
- Demonstrating political awareness when dealing with customers, stakeholders and communities.
- Good at networking and establishing relationships with technical leads
- Experience in influencing and persuading - using effective written and verbal communication skills to help persuade internal/external partners to take action.
- Good organisational skills to plan, track, deliver and manage multiple priorities and competing demands
- Skilled in analysing, interpreting and presenting environmental information to develop compelling evidence for change and to inform effective solutions for technical problems.
- Delivering work within a programme and project management framework to time, cost and quality
- Embracing and adapting to change to improve efficiency and productivity.
