CNC Machinist - Newport
Acorn Recruitment is currently working with a production of valve and control systems seeking a CNC machinist to join their current team, based in Newport.
Contract: Permanent, 37 hours per week

**Salary**: £25k-£30k dependant on experience
Hours: Mon-Thu, 6am-2:45pm, Fri 8am-10am
Job Duties:

- Generating CNC programmes
- Ensuring components are machined to latest issue drawing
- Ensuring tooling, fixtures, gauges, drawings etc are available, prepared and the machining process is documented and understood in readiness for the next job
- Ensuring thread gauges are used in line with the check procedures
- Recording critical dimensions on associated inspection sheet
- Carry out basic maintenance in line with PPMs (Planned Preventative Maintenance)
- Recording and reporting Non-Conformance to component and machine
Key Requirements:

- Time served CNC programmer
- CNC machining techniques/capabilities/workshop practices
- Experience working within production environments
