**Position Title: Digital Surfacing Consultant**

**Duration: 6 month Contract**

**Location: Surrey 2/3 days - WFH remaining**

**Nice to Have Criteria**:

- Reporting to Surfacing Manager,
- Primary responsibility will be to assist in the 3D alias surface design, working as part of the Alias team
- Generate (and modify) digital models throughout the design process (from the initial concept sketch phase through to the Production Release Class A Technical Surfacing) based on design direction, sketches, scan data and technical specifications, within the scope of the project timing assumptions.
- Provide accurate Alias surfaces from initial 3D scans from scale clay models through to tangency controlled surfaces.
- Liaise with the Creative Design Team to ensure the surfacing adheres to the engineering package and meet the requirements for timing and performance.
- Produce 3D surface data to the OEM design process (from the initial concept sketch phase thru to the Production Release Class A Technical Surfacing) based on design direction
- Alias Sub D concept modelling

**Additional Information**:

- Educated to degree level or equivalent engineering related discipline, with extensive relevant automotive experience.
- Autodesk Alias Surface proficiency with OEM studio experience, ideally for around 5 year period, and Grasshopper or Dynamo experience.
- 2D Presentation\/Animation ability in addition to Class A surfacing expertise.
- A working knowledge of component manufacturing tooling requirements.
- Working knowledge of PhotoShop photo editing software.
- RPT Milling plus Clay Model support understanding
- Proficient with V-Red Design

**Job Types**: Fixed term contract, Freelance, Temp to perm, Temporary contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: £35.00-£40.00 per hour
