**We have a fantastic new vacancy for Reservations Supervisor in the excellent Cardiff Clayton Hotel.**

Clayton Hotel Cardiff is a 4 star hotel located in the heart of Cardiff city at the bottom of St.Mary’s Street. Location is everything at Clayton Hotel Cardiff, with the train and bus stations only a stone’s throw away and the city’s famous Principality Stadium only a short walk. Clayton Hotel is Cardiff’s largest hotel boasting 216 bedrooms, 7 modern meeting and conference rooms all with natural daylight and À la carte restaurant and bar, all with beautiful panoramic views of the capital city. **Objective of the Role**

Reporting to the Reservations Manager, the Reservations Supervisor will be the first point of contact for our guests. It is of utmost importance that the reservations department present a friendly and professional manner at all times. As a Reservations Supervisor, you will maximise the hotels’ rooms’ revenue and guest satisfaction by receiving, handling and processing guest reservations under the direction of the Revenue Manager.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Manage Guests reservations, ensuring that their needs and wants are met to the highest standard.
- Give details of hotel facilities and pricing information.
- Upsell other areas of the hotel or other properties in the group.
- Ensure expectations are set correctly, in advance of the guest’s stay.
- Achieve maximum occupancy and average rate by utilizing yield management.
- Record reservation information accurately, identify and record group and transient business codes.
- Contribute to maximum occupancy of the hotel by assisting in maintaining accurate inventory control for rooms.
- Record requests for special accommodation requirements.
- Use up-selling techniques at all available opportunities.
- Maximise customer satisfaction and hotel revenue by promoting Restaurant & Bar and other services and facilities to guests.

**Requirements**:

- 1-2 years experience in a similar role with a Reservations System, Opera would be an advantage.
- Excellent customer care skills.
- Excellent command of the English language both written and oral is essential.
- Ability to cope well under pressure.
- Highly motivated, and a team player.
