We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman / woman to join our dedicated team. As a Handyman / woman at the Lakes Aquarium, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facility. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from general repairs and maintenance to ensuring the overall safety and appearance of the aquarium.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conducting routine inspections and maintenance tasks to identify and address facility issues promptly
- Performing repairs on equipment, fixtures, and facilities as needed
- Handling basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks
- Troubleshooting and resolving maintenance-related problems efficiently
- Assisting in the setup and breakdown of exhibits and displays
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Collaborating with other team members to support various projects and initiatives
- Assisting with general cleaning duties as required

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Handyman / woman or similar role
- Solid knowledge of general maintenance and repair techniques
- Proficiency in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting skills
- Ability to operate and maintain various tools and equipment
- A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

**Job Types**: Temporary contract, Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £8.00-£12.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Weekend availability
