The post-holder will have a leading role in planning, coordinating, managing and completing research projects undertaken in collaboration with the Suicide, Risk and Safety Research Unit (SSRU), in particular projects led by Professor Gill Haddock (SSRU Director) and Dr Dan Pratt (SSRU Co-Director). These include, but are not limited to, clinical trials with people with a history of psychosis, self-harm and suicidal behaviour.

The post-holder will contribute to research carried out by Professor Haddock and Dr Pratt by acting where necessary as an applicant on grants submitted by other SSRU researchers, thereby contributing to the high-quality research carried out by the unit.

They will have excellent communication and presentation skills, together with the ability to organize and motivate others. They will demonstrate flair, enthusiasm, innovation and leadership when faced with challenges and will provide strategic, tactical and operational management skills in the planning and execution of the research projects under their management.
