Claims Handler

Our client, a leading provider of life, pensions, investments and insurance, has immediate openings for Health Claims Assessors to join the business.

Working in the Customer Relations and Claims function of the business the Claims Handler will be responsible for,
- Handling, assessing, and reviewing disability and critical illness claims, making fair decisions on claims supported through a variety of information obtained and interpreted from various sources,
- Developing and maintaining professional relationships with external and regulatory bodies to ensure operating procedures adhere to industry requirements,
- Ongoing review and development of claims handling processes,
- Making decisions on complex customer claims where there is often conflicting information,
- Working with Product, Actuarial and Underwriting teams to improve the claims process

The successful applicant will demonstrate,
- Proven insurance claims handling experience, ideally health insurance claims,
- Excellent numerical skills
- Excellent customer service skills both written and verbal
- Underwriting experience

For experienced hires this position is fully remote, for less experienced hires you will be expected to attend one of three key sites (Telford, Hitchin or Norwich).
