**Construction Coordinator - (Inside IR35)**
**Contract Term: 6 Months**
**Contracting Authority: Sellafield**
**Location: Sellafield, Cumbria**
The role of the Construction Coordinator is to assist the Construction Section Manager / Construction Manager with the management of construction activities on Sellafield sites. The Construction Coordinator assists with the control and supervision of the works being undertaken. They support the Construction Section Manager / Construction Manager as part of the Intelligent Customer team in ensuring that the construction activities are executed to meet the regulatory & statutory requirements of the licensee, as well as the goals and objectives of the project and business.
**As a Construction Coordinator your main responsibilities will be**
- Assist with delivery of the construction discipline phase of the project, meeting safety, cost, programme and quality objectives. Ensure any corrective actions required are taken.
- Assist in the provision of construction expertise and input to constructability reviews HAZCON, MDDR, SDDR as required and ensuring the design, work scope and construction strategies embed the out puts.
- Ensuring a proactive and proportionate approach to nuclear safety through quality and safety to ensure that they are optimised on the site.
- Ensuring that work is controlled in accordance with Conduct of Engineering Manual and that all legal, regulatory, and contractual and governance arrangements are met and that controlling documents submitted by Contractors are reviewed and commented on for compliance with the site requirements.
- Reporting progress to the Construction Section Manager / Construction Manager and maintaining appropriate records for safety, contractual or quality purposes
**Essential skills**:
- Construction site experience.
- Ability to undertake specific training associated with the role and willingness to self-study under mentorship.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
**Essential Qualifications**:
- Basic GCSE’s at English, Maths & Science/IT at grade C (4) or above, or Level 3 Engineering qualification.
