Role: Transport Clerk

**Salary**: £24,500 (Paid Hourly at £11.50 per Hour)
Location: Chesterfield
Type: Permanent
Shift: Night Shift. 4 on 4 off. 18.00-06.00
Overview
Role & Responsibilities of the Transport Clerk
Night Shift Operating 18:00 - 06:00 four on four off
Brief all shift drivers on the night fleet.
De Brief returning drivers.
Induct agency staff of delivery points, booking times, vehicle temperature settings etc
Issuing fuel cards and pin numbers and record data.
Hand out all necessary documents in the driver pack & explain importance of signed POD's
Ensure drivers report any defects to their vehicle before embarking on their journey
Report to the General Manager/Transport Manager for authority to release the vehicle in case of defects
Ensure all drivers have correct PPE
Input required data into planning file
Requirements of the HGV Driver
The ability to work 12 hour shifts is essential
Proven experience in a transport related logístical role such as Coordinator/ planner / dispatch / debriefer.
A keen attitude and willingness
Proficient computer skills with experience on transport related CRM system
Previous experience is de briefing is preferred
