We are assisting our client - a family owned Commercial Vehicle repair business - in recruiting an experienced Service Manager to join their Portsmouth branch. It is an exciting time to join the business, who are celebrating their 33rd year of trading, asthey continue to grow. They have depots across the South of England and continue to reinvest in their locations, giving all employees job security and career advancement.

**Responsibilities**:
As a Service Manager, you will be the heart of operations and will have full responsibility for delivering consistently excellent customer service and making sure that both the service, parts areas and workshop are maintained to the highest standards.

As well as this, responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Managing staff
- Obtaining goals and objectives
- Compliance with policies and procedures
- Ensuring the smooth running of your department and driving it to greater success
- Assisting or covering workshop control for holiday/absences
- Manage the day to day workshop activities and ensure productivity and quality performance measures are met
- Identifying and implementing training needs for all staff

**The Person**:

- This role would suit an experienced automotive manager/workshop controller as previous experience is essential.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and manage the workshop
- Diligence and accuracy are vital
- Proven management and leadership skills
- Computer literate (including Microsoft packages)
- Proactive
- Passionate and dynamic attitude who will share the energy and values of the business to contribute to their growing success
