**Job Description Summary**: Reporting to the Lean Leader in the Moonshine Tooling Repair Shop.

The ability to weld aircraft engine fixtures & tooling repairs for engine overhaul, assembly, and test. Work unsupervised while maintaining a safe working environment and producing high quality components.

**Responsibilities**:

- Carry out MIG, TIG & MMA welding processes on various metals.
- Familiar with engineering drawings.
- Liaise with various employees to determine job requirements.
- Gather necessary materials and perform layout as per specifications.
- Use of hand & power tools.
- Experience and understanding various welding machines.
- Use of measuring equipment and be able to visually examine welds adhering to quality standards.
- Precise attention to detail and a high level of concentration.
- PC work including working with SAP.
- Work with different functions to collaboratively solve problems

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Time served welder/fabrication with apprenticeship/qualification essential.
- Experience of working in a welding workshop environment.

**Desired Characteristics**:

- All duties shall be performed in a safe manner in accordance with GE EH&S policy and procedures.
- All staff are expected to follow company Quality procedures and to comply with aero industry standards.
- All staff are expected to display a mature and positive attitude.
