**About us**

Fleet Timber Supplies Ltd is a long established family run business in Tilney St Lawrence.

**The role**
- Deliver high standards of service remaining helpful and friendly at all times.
- Based on the counter, process customer orders, prepare quotes, restock whilst keeping the shop tidy.
- You will also be based outside processing customer orders, loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.
- You will book in supplier deliveries.
- Unloading supplier vehicles and booking in stock accurately.
- Maintaining safety standards to high standard.

**Responsibilities and Activities**
- Assist customers in person
- Accurately pick customer’s orders
- Loading of customer’s orders on to company vehicles for delivery
- Respond to enquiries
- Advise customers on products and services
- Inform appropriate person if stock is low
- Stock taking

**Skills and Abilities**
- Experience in a customer facing role
- Forklift License desirable
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills
- The ability to be able to identify customer needs and requirements
- Honest and trustworthy

This role is physically demanding and requires a person with a good level of fitness to carry out the duties required of this position. Manual handling is required regularly throughout the day. The role is mainly outdoors in the yard area and will involve working in all weathers. The conditions can be dusty and dirty from time to time.

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

Saturday rota working 1 in 3. 830am - 12pm

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift license desired
- Driving license desired
