ICAS is committed to ensuring that our Discipline & Appeal Tribunal processes work in a manner which is fair, efficient, and accessible to all parties, with decisions made by objective and independent individuals. Upholding the highest professional and ethical standards will promote public confidence in ICAS, its members, and the wider accountancy profession.

To help us achieve this, we appoint a Tribunal Clerk to be responsible for the administrative arrangements for Discipline and Appeal Tribunals under ICAS’ Regulations, and to provide general support to the Tribunal process.

This is not a full time salaried role with ICAS.

The Clerk is appointed by ICAS on the basis of a contract for services which is agreed and signed by the parties. The agreement emphasises that it is not a contract of employment. The Clerk is appointed by ICAS for a three-year term, with the possibility of further terms being agreed by the parties.

The role is remunerated in accordance with rates agreed by ICAS and the Clerk.
