An exciting opportunity has arisen in the GI Services department at University College London Hospital NHS Trust for an Upper GI Benign MDT Coordinator. This post is an opportunity to join an enthusiastic team committed to providing first class administration to our Upper GI MDT Team.
We are looking for an innovative and motivated individual who wants to build on their skills and knowledge within a fast-paced service.
They will have previous administration experience and either experience of working in an NHS organisation or a desire to work within a healthcare organisation. They will be able to communicate with a range of patients and colleagues and possess excellent team working, negotiation and organisation skills. Above all they will be committed to helping us deliver excellent patient care.

This role will require weekly rotation of onsite duties. You may need to provide cover for other members of the admin team when they have leave or absence, including reception desk cover.

The Upper GI (Benign) MDT Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that deadlines are met and prospectively monitoring all Upper GI (Benign) patients along their pathway. In doing so, they will ensure that appropriate treatment is received in line with national and local targets.
They will have key working relationships with all members of the administrative and clinical teams including nursing and medical staff, allied health professionals and support workers. They will act as the first point of contact (in phone and in person) in communication with patients, relatives and GPs and other external hospital staff / tertiary referrers.
The postholder will be responsible for escalating and troubleshooting issues and will contribute to finding proactive solutions to routine issues.
