- A long standing and innovative SEN setting/school is looking for a fun and creative teaching assistant to work in their KS3 & 4 department. This position would be working on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis and all applicants must have an understanding of supporting SEN needs. The school currently educates learners between the ages of 8 and 19 years with various SEN needs including social, emotional and mental health needs. The school is a part residential provision and at present there are approx. 70+ pupils on role. The school is situated on large rural grounds and for this reason can offer extensive outdoor opportunities for their learners. The school is commended by pupils, staff, parents and the wider community and has recently been awarded good at local OFSTED. This school is proud to offer a safe environment for all their pupils to explore, grow and develop. Year on Year reports have shown that all pupils make exceptional progress with education and social skills which is the main aim and ambition for the school and their team. This is a long standing and innovative SEN school that has been a positive framework for other SEN settings to adopt throughout the country.
