**The Role**:
A great new role has been created to join this leading manufacturing business in Chorley. Reporting to the Group HR Manager of a busy manufacturing business, you will provide day to day support to employees and the manufacturing management team with bestpractise HR support. No two days will be the same with lots of projects to get involved in as well as supporting, coaching and training management on a wide range of HR topics. You will be the first point of contact for general enquiries into the HR departmentto include recruitment and selection, payroll and absence and general support. You will provide guidance to management on a wide range of generalist topics to include absence management, performance management and ad-hoc problems. You will work closely withthe business in employee engagement initiatives, holding regular forums to understand the needs of staff and to be a point of call for a wide range of support.

Other duties will include continuous improvement, review of policies, procedures and systems, talent development solutions as well as supporting the whole employee life cycle in line with best practice methods, supporting and development of Managers in relationto all areas of HR, maintaining accurate HR records and production of accurate reports and taking the lead on HR project

**Skills & Experience**:
You will be a confident and driven HR Advisor with excellent communication skills. Ideally you will be working in manufacturing currently and working in a busy generalist role. You will be confident in negotiating with unions and providing support to SeniorManagement. Ideally you will have worked alongside Trade Unions. You will have a strong understanding of employment law, employee relations and experience of working successfully with employee groups.
