**Accounts Assistant**

**The role**

We are a publishing and e-commerce business and we are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join the finance team. You will be coached and supported through your development to ensure your success. The role is fast paced and varied, as are the companies you will be working for. This will enable you to add value sharing your knowledge, learn about the business and progress in your accounting career in a structured and supportive way.

Your responsibilities will include (not limited to):

- Processing purchase invoices - matching to PO’s and liaising with the warehouse to ensure stock is delivered
- Query resolution with external customers and colleagues
- Payment authorisation
- Maintaining the accuracy of the supplier ledger
- Processing company expenses
- Reconciling creditor statements
- Bank reconciliations
- Dealing with the post

Supporting the finance team with the provision of ad-hoc reports and analysis.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Prior experience in a similar role
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads
- Good excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup etc)
- Great Attention to detail, communication and organisational skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines

**Terms and Conditions**:
**Permanent and Full time**

**Monday to Thursday 9am to 5.30pm and Friday 9am to 4pm**

**Benefits**:
23 days holiday per year increasing to 24, plus bank holidays, free car park (Rota basis), cycle to work scheme, free refreshments, modern offices, company social events, and flexible work patterns and auto enrolment company pension. Hybrid working (3 days office/2 days home once full trained)

**Salary £21,000-£23,000 DOE.**
