**Job Description**:
We are looking for a kind, compassionate, naturally caring, observant, and intuitive individual who wants to make a true difference to the quality of life for our clients to join our team in Weston Super Mare as a **Live In Carer.** As a Live In Carer, you will live in a client's home and provide a variety of non-medical services to help them stay in their own home. This will ideally be on a working pattern of **2 weeks on and 2 weeks off, **but this can be negotiated.

We are advertising for a lovely lady, Mrs C, in the Yatton area of North Somerset. Mrs C lives with her husband Mr C, they are retired and moved to Yatton to be near their daughter and grandchildren. Mrs C had a stroke and has been in hospital for several months. She is keen to get home as soon as possible. Mrs C will need support with personal care, transferring from bed to chair, etc. meal preparation, toileting needs and housework. A second care assistant will visit the home each day to support with moving and handling needs.

You will be required to assist with daily tasks including:

- Personal care & toileting needs
- Medication support
- Meal preparation
- Housekeeping
- Companionship

Mrs C has dysphasia since having her stroke, although has clear facial expressions and can indicate yes and no.

Mrs C has a weak right side since the stroke and needs support with all transfers. Use of hoist with 2 carers.

Living near Weston super Mare, there is plenty to do and see nearby and great transport options. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide care to a lady who is ready to go home and be with her husband and family.

**Qualifications**:
Usually we state that experience or qualifications are not essential. However, for this particular couple the family have requested someone with previous care experience.
