Machine Apprentice Tutor

**MACHINIST APPRENTICE TUTOR - PART TIME**

The Machining Apprentice Tutor role will be integrated into the Machining department with the purpose of ensuring machining apprentices receive excellent basic training in manual machining skills in line with the Company’s in house apprentice training programme.

**This role is part time, working two or three days per week. Applicants must be flexible on which days they work depending on apprentice college attendance days.**

Duties will include but may not be restricted to:

- Training machining apprentices in manual machining skills - turning and milling - using safe working practices in a workshop environment.
- Provide coaching, ongoing feedback and evaluate tasks undertaken to aid the apprentice’s development.
- Completing apprentice in house training records on daily basis.
- Ensure apprentices comply with Company safety and environmental policies.
- Liaising with line managers to ensure in house training programme still meets required levels of skill and company relevance and standards of the Modern Apprenticeship.
- Provide regular apprentice performance feedback to line managers.
- Ensure you work safely and you are not endangering yourself, those around you or the environment.

Applicants must have an appropriate machining trade background; be able to read engineering drawings and have the correct aptitude for tutoring.

Excellent working conditions, remuneration package and benefits are available. Hourly salary is dependant on experience.

**All applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK and be capable of commuting daily to our Stonehaven facility.**

**Salary**: £20.00-£22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 24 per week
