We are looking for a hard working and outdoorsy person to join our dedicated team to help care for the animals on their holidays with us. We are in need of someone who is confident with all size animals both great and small, who is committed, caring with a strong and positive work ethic, especially where the role can be physically demanding

THE ROLE:
The day to day work in the kennels and cattery consists of:

- CLEANING = making sure all pens are thoroughly clean and sterile
- FEEDING = preparing breakfasts, dinners and lunches + yummy enrichment
- WALKING all the dogs in either our field, paddocks or in the forest
- GROOMING = brushing and bathing dogs and cats
- MAINTENANCE = making sure all areas are clean, safe and tidy
- BEHAVIOUR = to monitor general health and welfare of the animals to ensure they are happy and healthy and having a wonderful holiday of their own
- TEAM ORIENTATED = You will be expected to work as part of a team and to be able to take initiative when needed.
- CUSTOMER SERVICE = elements of the role will include reception based work dealing with customers

WHAT WE ASK

Preferably have relevant experience working with dogs and cats

AND/OR

a minimum level 2 qualification in animal care and welfare

Have a passion for animal care

Be able to work as part of a team AND as an individual using their own initiative

Confidently handle all sized dogs as well as cats of all temperaments

Have excellent time management skills

Be able to execute jobs efficiently, confidently and to the required standard

Be willing to get stuck in on some of the unpleasant jobs and assist with general upkeep and maintenance
