Trainee Weighbridge Operator

Hillhouse Group is a family-owned business operating throughout Scotland. The company is a major supplier of aggregates, asphalt, readymix concrete, concrete products and road surfacing and civil engineering services to the construction industry and civil engineering sectors.

We are currently seeking to employ a Trainee Weighbridge Operator who will initially work from our Quarry near Troon.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Act as point of contact for customers.
- Direct traffic coming onto site.
- Accurately record weights and product type by vehicle, completing appropriate documentation and collecting driver signatures, etc.
- Process delivery notes and tickets accurately and efficiently.
- Report any anomalies/errors on the weighbridge system to the Sales Department.
- Ensure weighbridge customers are aware of site rules and distribute information and guidance accordingly.
- Report health & safety issues immediately to management.
- Comply with all Health, Safety, HR, Quality and Environmental policies and procedures.

**Person Profile**
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Flexible in attitude and working hours.
- Possess competent IT skills, e.g. Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Confident telephone manner.
- Organised and personable, with good relationship building skills.
- Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Must have a current driving licence as this role will require traveling to other Group sites.
