Are you a psychology, or criminology graduate or an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or youth worker?

Opportunity to visit the school and work in the school on the same day, help qualify and disqualify Autism and Mental Health as sectors for your future career.

The LSA role in a specialist provision for Children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health challenges and Autism in High Wycombe, aged 11-19 focus on their objectives and where they feel their place in the world is. This experience in a neurodivergentcontext, will give you vital experience for your future clinical experiences.

The role can begin immediately, if your circumstances allow This role is all about qualifying and disqualifying elements of mental health, youth justice and special educational needs, for yourself. The role can also start in January

This LSA role is based in small classes, it's a much personalised education and it has to be. Working 1:1 and in small groups with students who have been through significant traumas, focus on restorative practices. Restorative practices underpin everythingthat happens within this specialist SEN School.

CAN you demonstrate the value of an education to a child? Can you help give them the skills that can able them to be less vulnerable and susceptible to being manipulated. Empathy drives connection, sympathy drives disconnection - no one wants your sympathy,your students need pragmatism and solutions in this LSA role.

Huge focus on Key and Personal skills, giving pupils skills, they can use to gain independence, aiming to ensure they do not enter the criminal justice system.

**Opportunity to work with SEN specialists at the top of their field, working with likeminded graduates, with similar aspirations

**Focus on raising emotional and academic attainment, where you can - OCD, ADHD, Autism, and SEMH

**Pre-emptive behaviour and preparation, many autistic children aren't diagnosed before they potentially enter the criminal justice system

**Shadowing and Mirroring outstanding SEN professionals, including Clinical Psychologists and Therapists

**Specialist Autism and SEMH school for students with Complex Social Needs, 7-16 all from a wide range of backgrounds

£390 per week before Tax and NI, 08.15 to 16.15, term time only
