Applications are welcome for the above Permanent, full time (40 hours per week) posts based in East Lothian Community Hospital, Haddington.

The post will contribute a key element of the mental health service offer to the citizens of East Lothian.

The service operates a continuity model, providing continuity of medical care across acute inpatient, intensive home treatment and community mental health services.

The service currently organises itself across geographical areas allocated to a CPN Team and named Consultant.

This post will inform the shape and delivery of forward-facing services, focused on building resilience, supporting rehabilitation and enabling recovery.

The acute inpatient facility provided from the Royal Edinburgh Hospital is dedicated for patients from both Midlothian and East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnerships (HSCPs). The medical responsibility for East Lothian patients is provided by the 3.5 East Lothian (EL) general adult consultants. Inpatient reviews take place twice weekly and cross covering arrangements exist for other times. The post holder will have 8 clinical sessions allocated to working across inpatients, IHTT and CMHT and will be allocated 2 SPA.
