**Job Summary**

The purpose of this role is to prepare surfaces by using shot blasting techniques to bespoke products in line with customer specifications and requirements. The Blaster is responsible for preparing surfaces for coating and painting, as well as cleaning and removing contaminants from a variety of substrates. This role will also involve cleaning, maintaining and troubleshooting blasting equipment, and adhering to health and safety regulations.

**Hours of work**

A variety of shift patterns are available including a 3 day working week + rotational morning and evening hours.

These shifts attract a premium of 15% on top of your hourly rate.

Optional overtime is available at an enhanced rate.

**Key responsibilities**

**Operational Performance**
- Demonstrate good safety behaviours in the workplace; ensure all rules / standards and procedures are adhered to at all times; wear correct personal protective equipment.
- Preparation of raw parts and components for powder coating process, including part identification, fettling etc.
- Shotblasting of parts and assemblies, meeting specified product and quality standards.
- Identify blast issues, faults or defects and take corrective actions where necessary, informing management timely.

- Proven ability to work as part of a team.
- Experience working to tight deadlines
- Experience of working on own initiative and acting to resolve any issues impacting upon performance
- Strong work ethic
- Knowledge of Health & Safety
- Willing to undertake training as required
- Ability to work a shift rotation pattern
- Willing to work overtime if required
- Good physical stamina

**Preferred**
- Experience in a high volume, fast paced manufacturing / industrial environment.
- 1+ years’ experience manual Shot Blasting / or previous experience in a similar role
