We are looking for a Grocery Category Technologist to join our Technical team. You will be happy working in a fast-paced environment, have excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
We are looking for an experienced Technologist, with specialist knowledge of ambient and chilled manufactured products such as Pastes, Sources, Deli, and also Packaged dry Goods, Herbs, Spices and Canned Goods to join our dynamic Technical team. You will have a proven track record in driving quality standards, ensuring the Safety and Legality of the products and processes of our suppliers. This role is an incredible opportunity to help deliver our ambitious growth plans and make healthy eating easy for hundreds of thousands of UK households.

**YOU ARE**
- A team player that loves to work with others and work collaboratively
- Able to demonstrate a minimum of 5 years experience in a relevant technical role
- Experienced in supplier management
- Qualified with a food science background with knowledge of Microbiological and chemical aspects of food safety and product quality
- Fully conversant with Food Legal and Safety legislation
- Familiar with the different packaging formats and materials available in the industry
- Knowledgeable of the industry, with strong industry networks and awareness of industry issues

**YOU WILL**
- Own the responsibility for the Quality, Safety and Legality of the Mindful Chef Grocery products
- Be responsible for the due diligence and compliance required to manage these products
- Work with the commercial team ensure we have the right supply base to deliver the Quality and Availability of product
- Ensure the supply base is compliant with the Mindful Chef policies
- Manage and keep up to date specifications for the grocery category and compliance systems
- Bring innovation and quality improvement to the area
- Manage complaints and issues raised by the customer
- Deliver the Mindful Chef ambitions on Packaging policy for Grocery
- Drive the standards to meet our B Corp status
- Act as an integral member of the Technical Team, supporting the wider Technical, Commercial and Operational teams deliver their objectives

**Salary**: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
