Position: Occupational Health Trainer
Location: Home based - non regional (travel will be required across the UK)
**Salary**: £27,300 - £32,700
Type: Permanent
**The Role**
We are recruiting for an Occupational Health Trainer to deliver and develop innovative, engaging, Health/Social and clinical care training including Trusted Assessor and other bespoke courses to professionals as part of our Occupational Health Service.
You will have:
- Assessor qualification-D32/33, A1, CAVA or equivalent or willing to work towards
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, careers guidance or a related field, a relevant qualification at Level 4 (PTTLS, Cert-Ed or equivalent)
- Experience within Health, Social or Clinical care
**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Contribute to the design and delivery of innovative learning and development for professionals
- To assess learner work and provide detailed feedback. Offering support where learners may be struggling
- To keep knowledge and skills up to date and record own CPD
- Work closely with the Occupational Health manager, Senior leads & our existing Learning and Development team and other stakeholders to ensure that the learning and business needs of the organisation are being met
- Engage with Occupational health team and provide information about the training to enable them to promote the training and ensure they are aware of administrative and booking process
- Use best practice methods to evaluate the impact of learning and identify performance gaps
- To travel as required to locations for delivery
- Keep up to date with research and innovatively integrate theory
- Facilitate the sharing of best practice amongst professionals and colleagues
- Collate, examine and review feedback and share findings and recommendations with internal/ external stakeholders
- Using project management skills, ensure the smooth implementation of training and support through having strong working relationships with internal/External stakeholders
**Skills & Experience**:
- Experience of co
- designing, delivering and facilitating group training sessions within health and social care settings
- Experience of working in mental health services or/ and lived experience with mental health
- Proven track record of delivering successful learning and development initiatives in a challenging environment
- Knowledge of challenges that operational staff may face day to day
- Knowledge of the impact Covid 19 has had on the work force in general and the implications it may have had on participants wellbeing
- Knowledge and confidence in relation to co
- designing, delivering and evaluating learning and development interventions
- Know how professionals learn best within an organisational and community context
- Expertise in areas relevant to Trusted Assessor, which includes equipment such as perching stools, chair raises etc
- Working with stakeholders, able to diagnose business problems and identify where there are learning and development needs and suggest appropriate solutions
- Strong delivery, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Excellent IT skills including proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams
- Using their own initiative, able to problem solve
