**Overview of Responsibilities**:
**Who are we looking for?**

Working for Waste Services Group, the Environmental Waste Section gives people the opportunity to learn and understand the many aspects of both controlled and hazardous waste handling, recycling, pre-treatment and disposal. Within the role, you should have a flexible approach, with a mature attitude and demonstrate safe working at all times.

**What will you be responsible for?**

The Hazardous Waste Specialist is responsible for hazardous waste disposal operations for Waste Services Group on Culham site. You will:
Manage data bases.
Offer advice on controlled and hazardous waste.
Liaise with external companies.
Write risk assessments and work instructions.

**More information**

You may be required to attend external training courses where necessary, work in other environments such as supervised or controlled areas.

Full-time**Qualifications**:
**Essential**:
Good numeracy skills with basic computer literacy.

Good written communication skills.

Ability to work as part of a team.

Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels

Experience of delegating and managing workload for team members

Current driving license.

**Desirable**:
Knowledge of collection, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste.

Understanding of contamination and control practices.

Possess duty of care experience or working towards it and knowledge of appropriate current waste

legislation.

IOSH managing safely

UKATA Asbestos Awareness training and Asbestos Non-Licensed Removal training,
