**Overview**

We are currently recruiting for a Desk Top Surveyor for a building repair company based near Bristol. You will be working in the insurance division who are carry out repairs / reinstatements to residential properties following an insurance claim. Workingfrom the office on a desktop basis; building and submitting scopes based on reports and evidence received from the Surveyors/Contracts Managers in the field.

**You will be**:

- Reviewing surveys, reports and photos to put together estimates/costs
- Preparing a scope of works and programming the repairs to be carried out
- Updating the company system and various client portals throughout
- Dealing with variation orders and approving as necessary
- Obtaining progress updates from the field
- Issuing invoices upon completion of works

**What is required**:

- You will need to have surveying experience and/or training/qualification in this area
- If not the above, some trades experience OR experience as a claim handler or works scheduler within a contractor environment (property repairs/maintenance) would be ideal
- You will need to be a confident IT/PC user (ideally with experience using Blueprint, Symbility or other similar estimating software).
