**Dawson Levy Resourcing**have an amazing opportunity for a Technical Coordinator to join a key client of ours on a permanent basis in Hatfield working within the Water Industry.
**What you will be doing**
Our overarching plan is to provide our customers with a continuous supply of safe, clean, and palatable drinking water - by focusing on our five key priorities - our people, health & safety, water quality, risk & resilience, and efficiency.
As part of the Oxford production team, you will work to ensure statutory compliance of our assets is achieved. You will support the maintenance team to respond to asset defects and take ownership of maximising asset availability to improve overall site resiliencein your area.
Key to the role is collaboration and stakeholder engagement, both within and outside of Water Production. You will be a diligent, technically experienced person in water processes and assets, and enjoy practical problem-solving.
The role covers a large geographical area in West Thames Valley, so a willingness to move around day to day is essential.
**What will this Technical Coordinator role involve?**
- Coordinate all statutory inspection compliance and liaise with stakeholders to ensure resources are in place - ensuring 100% compliance. Attend monthly meetings and promote good practice e.g. lifting equipment
- Arrange contractor attendance to troubleshoot asset failures, ensuring safe methods of work. This includes reviewing contractor RAMS, issuing permits to work (TWOSAs), and carrying out proactive H&S audits
- Accurately record asset availability of plant and equipment for the area and take ownership of improvement plans. Support improvements to area asset availability and resilience, including leading on technical fixes as required, planned, and in event situations
- Carry out data analysis on asset reliability to recognise trends and drive continuous improvement
- Effectively manage the technical workbench to ensure no delays of stock for maintenance teams to deliver maintenance workplan, including planned follow-ups and additional work
- Obtain quotes, order materials, and 3rd party services through our framework contractors, getting the best value goods and services and staying within budget
- Develop strong collaborative relationships with other internal and external stakeholders
- Promote and encourage a positive health and safety culture. Ensure all aspects of Health and Safety are managed correctly, through a safe system of work approval, reviewing RAMS, permitting, and site audits
**We're looking for the Technical Coordinator to have the following Skills**:
- **T**echnically experienced with a good understanding of how to maintain assets
- Experience in managing contractors
- High attention to detail - meticulous at documenting the finer details of what needs to take place
- Strong Process Competence -Management of Water Production (MoWP) and Management of Disinfection training will be provided
- A collaborative, good communicator with the ability to develop effective relationships with production and various stakeholders (internal and external), influencing beyond the span of control
- Proactive and enjoy problem-solving
- Ability to mentor & transfer skills to others
- You will have a passion for driving positive behaviours throughout your region and a willingness to help the team meet stretching operational targets
- Fully competent at using the appropriate Company IT systems and Office software
- Due to the nature of the role, a full UK Driving licence is required
