**About The Role**
As a casual supply lecturer, you will have the opportunity to teach on an ad-hoc basis. The hours available may be for short term cover, long term cover, or temporary project teaching hours that could potentially offer the opportunity to become permanent, should a vacancy arise. You will join our bank of lecturers that are called upon when any teaching hours arise.
**About You**
Ideally you will have a PGCE and relevant experience of teaching within the FE and HE sector. However, if you have experience of tutoring outside of mainstream education and would like to pick up flexible hours within The College, this could be for you If you have industry experience without a PGCE and would like to move into a teaching career, we may be able to offer you the opportunity to join us as an unqualified teacher. Alongside this, you will need to be organised, able to work under tight deadlines, possess excellent digital literacy skills, and good literacy and numeracy skills.

**Our Learners**
Based across Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion and spread amongst 7 different campuses, The College has approximately 9,000 learners of which some 3,000 are full time and 6,000 are part time. There are approximately 900 higher education learners. It also offers its provision on-line, via partnerships at community locations and in the workplace.
The College has a comprehensive and broad range of academic and vocational learning programmes. These range from pre-entry to graduate level, providing a service to the whole learning community. It offers further education, adult and community learning, higher education, work based learning and bespoke programmes and services for business development. It also provides for large numbers of 14-16 school pupils who attend the College or are taught by College staff at their schools.
**About Coleg Sir Gar & Coleg Ceredigion**
Coleg Sir Gâr was created in 1985 and became a corporate institution in 1993. In 2013 it became Coleg Sir Gar Ltd, a company within the University of Wales: Trinity Saint David Group, and part of a regional Dual Sector University. The College has an annual turnover of over £35m and employs around 800 staff.
Coleg Ceredigion was created in 1985 and became a corporate institution in 1993. The college merged with the University of Wales Trinity Saint David as a subsidiary company in 2014. The college has an annual turnover of £6m and employs around 180 staff.
The College is based in South West Wales and has seven main campuses at Llanelli (Graig), Carmarthen (Pibwrlwyd and Jobs Well), Ammanford, Llandeilo (Gelli Aur), Aberystwyth and Cardigan. The College is also home to Carmarthen School of Art which has its origins dating back to 1854.
