Junior Ecologist

An environmental consultancy is seeking a dedicated Junior Ecologist to join their experienced team in the surrounding Brighton area. With a successful few years this sought after company are looking to grow their team offering environmental services rangingfrom design, planning and environmental management throughout the UK.

As a Junior Ecologist you will be consulting and offering specialist advice on projects from the design and construction stages through to completion. You will be involved in field work, co-ordinating and executing Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEA),protected species and habitat surveys. From this you will be using your understanding of current planning policy and ecological legislation to analyse, collate and deliver reports and assessments.

**Junior EcologistPosition Overview**
- Working within a team supporting the Ecologist department
- Liaising and working with other departments within the company
- Report writing and analysing data
- Site visits and carrying out preliminary appraisals and surveys
- Delivering BREEAM and Ecological impact assessments (EcIA)
- Offering advice and consultation on projects
- Communicating between internal teams and external clients

**Junior EcologistPosition Requirements**
- Working towards CIEEM membership
- Understanding of EIA process and Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEA)
- Full driver's license essential

- Salary between £20K - £35K per annum DOE
