**About the role***:
We are seeking a **Product Lead** to join us as we embark on a critical technology programme to replace the existing platform for our General Insurance business. The new Ecosystem consists of multiple platforms with each platform having its own dedicated delivery team.

Fully empowered, the Product Lead, is responsible for managing the backlog of the Ecosystem, which is then allocated to the Product Owners to deliver the outcome for their platform. They will work in partnership with the business stakeholders and technical architects to drive the overall vision and roadmap for the Ecosystem. Defining monthly, quarterly and annual objectives and goals which are then distributed to the various platform Product Owners for delivery.

Working with a newly formed (January 2024) and enthusiastic team this Product Lead is joining us at an exciting time. With a passion for agility, courage to challenge the status quo, humility and a love of teamworkthe Product Lead will be instrumental in delivering a series of exciting new technologies to the organisation.

**Key responsibilities**:

- **Vision & Strategy**: Define and own the product vision and strategy for the Ecosystem.
- **Programme Roadmap**: Produce, manage, and communicate the roadmap to meet the programme’s objectives.
- **Scope Management**: Oversee the programme’s scope, ensuring it aligns with business goals and adheres to governance processes.
- **Product Owner Support**: Assist Product Owners in aligning their roadmaps with the Ecosystem vision and facilitate continuous improvement.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**: Collaborate with business stakeholders to communicate the value and impact of changes.
- **Governance Engagement**: Participate in key governance processes for effective scope management and delivery team synchronization.
- **Architecture Alignment**: Partner with the architecture team to ensure solutions meet the common goal.
- **Jira Tracking**: Maintain and track themes, features, epics, and user stories in Jira, aligning Ecosystem delivery with the individual delivery teams and managing dependencies.
- **Best Practices & Techniques**: Utilise effective techniques from within and outside the Scrum Framework to maximize performance and prevent burnout.
- **Programme Representation**: Act as an ambassador, promoting the programme’s value and facilitating decisions on the product backlog and release plans.

**Knowledge, skills and experience***:
Essential:

- Proven experience as a Product Lead, Product Manager or Senior Product Owner delivering a programme of change across multiple technologies and methodologies
- Insurance Industry knowledge (can be via a different role)
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills working across business and technical experts along with senior business stakeholders
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively manage conflicting needs of stakeholders

Preferred:

- Certified Product Owner
- ‘Supplier side’ product ownership
- Proficiency with the Atlassian Suite of products, Jira, Confluence Coaching experience
