Trainee Estimator

Job Summary: Firetec Contracts Ltd, a leader in passive fire protection services, is looking for a motivated person looking become a Trainee Surveyor/Estimator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to start their commercial career in the passive fire protection industry, offering a hands-on learning experience in a growing field.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist in estimating and surveying projects related to passive fire protection systems including fire barriers, firestops, and fire-resistant coatings.
- Support the assessment of building specifications to determine passive fire safety requirements and compliance with current regulations.
- Learn to prepare detailed cost estimates and project proposals that align with industry standards and client needs.
- Participate in site visits.
- Develop skills in using industry-specific software for design and estimation tasks.
- Generating new leads, tenders and opportunities
**Requirements**:
- Strong interest in the commercial aspects of construction.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant computer skills (e.g. Excel).
- Full driver’s license.
