Gallagher Re is looking to recruit a Senior Accounts Controller to join our Latin American and Caribbean team.

As an Accounts Controller you will service a portfolio of Client accounts within the Latin American and Caribbean team of Gallagher Re. As part of this role you will also ensure that balances are collected and paid in accordance with the contractual requirements.
This position will be based in Ipswich and will require daily interaction with other colleagues in London, Miami and Mumbai, as well as with our clients and carriers.

**The Role**:

- Ensure the secure, efficient and auditable handling of client’s monies
- Be responsible for the fiscal relationship for designated clients and act as the main point of contact for all matters relating to payments
- Actively service accounts to a high standard and ensure timely collection and payment of monies due to/ from clients, reinsurers and third parties; reconciliation, chasing and minimisation of funding to ensure financial metrics are achieved.
- Use MI to identify debtor related problems and raise, negotiate and influence where necessary to resolve.
- Review and correlate cash daily
- Maintain ongoing relationships with assigned clients, reinsurers and third parties
- Complete Account Controller core requirements reviews where appropriate
- Adhere to standardised Group policies and procedures, Accounting and Settlement fundamentals, including sanctions touch points and other regulatory requirements
- Train and develop less experienced team members

**Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications**:

- Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent
- CII qualifications or studying towards would be beneficial
- Reinsurance or Industry knowledge with a strong accounting background
- Spanish language skills would be an advantage but not essential
- Intermediate IT skills (Microsoft Office)
- Good communication skills (Written and Verbal)
- Attention to detail, ability to organise and prioritise
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously; and general willingness to learn and grow
- Ability to build strong working relationships with both clients and brokers
- Good time management skills
- Eligible to work in the UK
