**Secondment opportunity
The National CBRN Centre (NCBRNC) is an integral part of Counter Terrorism Policing bringing together the emergency services to protect and prepare the UK against the chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) threat.

Based at the College of Policing in Coventry, this role is open to constable’s as a 2 year secondment opportunity.

**The role**

You’ll contribute to the continuing development of multi-agency CBRN Capabilities at the NCBRNC, working in a small team of Police Officers, Police Staff and Multi agency representatives to maintain national CBRN capability. Developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships is a key element of this role.

An integral part of this role is asset management of the strategic national CBRN reserve, which will require you to regularly work in a warehousing environment to receive new orders and dispatch equipment across the UK in support of operational activity and preparedness.

Demonstrating excellent communication skills, you’ll be able to make sound decisions and be able to work as part of a team, but also able to work with mínimal supervision and able to use your own initiative where circumstances allow.

We’ll offer you development opportunities to fulfil the role which will include regular national on-call cadre duties. This may require overnight deployment to support operational necessities throughout the UK.

**Role responsibilities**
- Working as part of a team to maintain and develop the multi-agency service’s capability to respond to CBRN terrorism and contribute to the overall vision & mission of the NCBRNC.
- Researching, delivering, reviewing and maintaining operational tactics, processes, equipment and policies to support, maintain and improve CBRN Operational capability within a multi-agency project environment.
- Identifying and managing work stream risks and issues.as well as assisting with the administrative functions relating to new and existing procurement projects by maintaining and managing existing contracts and suppliers relationships in partnership with our procurement partners.
- Performing periodic on-call duties as per the authorised duty rota as a member of the duty officer cadre.

**Skills and competencies**

**Essential**

Demonstrable experience and ability to effectively communicate to all level

Evidence of ability to analyse to identify requirements and considerations of alternative courses of action to make sound decisions.

Highly organised with ability to work with mínimal supervison using your own initiative

Proven ability to use computer system such as Microsoft office suite e.g Word, Excel, Powerpoint.

Proven ability to work within a multiagency environment.

Hold a full UK driving licence

**Desirable**

Knowledge of National Emergency Services’ CBRN capabilities

Trained tactical Advisor - CBRN, Public Order or Firearms

You must be a British citizen to work for the Counter Terrorism Policing West Midlands (CTPWM). If you hold dual nationality, with the primary nationality British, you may also be considered. For the purposes of safeguarding national security, applicants will be required to hold or acquire the appropriate national security vetting clearance as above.
