Breast Screening Mobile Units Receptionist

**MAIN DUTIES Mobile UnitReception and Clerical**: To check pre-booked lists prior to start of clinic.To show a sympathetic and caring approach towards both clients and patients and families/friends whencarrying out reception duties.To welcome and assist clients, relative/friends and other visitors on arrival in the mobile unit and informappropriate staff.To communicate effectively and promptly to all enquiries in a discreet manner, with empathy andsensitivity.Provide cover whenever possible for annual leave and sickness for the other mobile unit receptionists.To be available to travel between sites mid shift if required e.g. to cover urgent absence.To be aware of the needs of the clients in the waiting area and inform the radiographic staff.To be responsible for updating accurate information relating to the NHSBSP system. Closing clinics andchecking attendees.Prepare boxes of completed work for the couriers to deliver to or from the Static Units.To assist the Screening Office Manager and Deputy Manager as required.Attend static unit based at Broadgreen Hospital for training or to provide cover on occasion. To use theNBSS/BS Select computer systems to input and gather data in relation to screening clinics.
Specific ResponsibilitiesTo offer a mature and friendly service to clients attending the unit. To undertake duties which may beallocated from time to time by the Office Manager for the efficient running of the Breast Screening Service.The post holder shall follow all the policies and procedures of the organisation.General duties on the Mobile Unit: Check heating and air conditioning are at a suitable temperature.Ensure all windows and doors are securely closed and the alarm is activated before leaving the mobile.Hoover the carpet, empty the rubbish bins and switch off the mobile phones at the end of each day.Ensure the radio is off and locked away.When packing up prior to the unit moving site ensure the contents of the reception area are packed andsecured. Request stationery and stores to be delivered via the courier service.Generally assist all personnel in the smooth running of the service
