**The role**

Due to an increased demand for our fresh products we are now looking for a Production Assistant to join our production team in the Foodstore at Rosehill.

**The responsibilities**
- Assist with making and baking pies
- Clean kitchen equipment and tools before use
- Accurately work to recipes and cooking instructions
- Ensure good working knowledge of machinery to control proving and baking process to achieve optimum results
- Understand food safety requirements and complete necessary documentation accurately documentation accurately

Desirable requirements
- Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and pastry breaker
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Experience with cake decoration/presentation techniques
- Excellent time-management skills
- Good accuracy and literacy for following recipes and completing necessary documentation
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
- Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts to meet the business needs
- Commercial bakery experience or similar

**Qualifications**:

- Recognised bakery or confectioner qualification would be an advantage

**Hours and salary**

6am - 6pm (40 hours per week) including weekend working (5 days out of 7)

£10.00 per hour for 18 year old +
