**THE ROLE**
Our products involve the control of motors, interfaces for controlling motion sensing, analogue amplifiers and general GPIO / Sensor interfacing. The Fitter/Turner will work as a part of the Workshop Team on building and assembling our Robotic equipment.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS**
- Building/assembling robotic equipment
- Accurately working to Mechanical Drawings when assembling components
- Inspecting incoming mechanical parts against drawings
- Safely and accurately using manual Mills / Lathes to make components
- Producing, repairing and upgrading mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies
- Assist in assembling, packing and general loading and unloading
- Special parts manufacturing
- Working in conjunction with R&D on projects through to successful completion
- Liaising with Quality Control Department and/or Mechanical Design section as required
- Writing up check lists to ensure all aspects projects are completed
- Receiving BOMs/work orders/drawings from Mechanical Production Officer
- Occasional working offsite to assist in assembly and training as required
**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
**Education**:
- Time Served Apprenticeship or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering qualification/experience
Professional Skills:
- Experience making components on manual Mills / Lathes
- Experience and understanding of building/assembling robotic equipment
- Experience working with R & D on projects through to completion
- Ability to plan what steps must be taken ahead of a job starting to achieve the required outcome
- Clear understanding of the production process
- Writing up check lists
- Ability to work to Mechanical Drawings
- Ability to operate a fork lift would be desirable
Personal Skills:
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Confident working independently and as a part of a team

**Salary**: £13.00-£16.00 per hour
