Health Care Assistant Band 2 37.5 hours, part time and full time considered

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team within the Heart Centre. The Heart Centre is a small cardiology unit, with 9 beds and a radial lounge providing a in-patient and elective service for patients undergoing coronary angiograms and angioplasty, as well as a wide range of cardiac conditions. We pride ourselves on providing a high standard of care in a friendly caring environment. this is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge, experience and skills in an expanding and developing cardiology service.
- To assist the registered nurses (or other healthcare practitioners) in providing high quality patient care
- When trained and deemed competent undertake clinical activities, using appropriate equipment
- Maintain patients’ privacy and dignity at all times and provide care in a compassionate and sensitive manner.
- Be an effective part of the multi-disciplinary team contributing to the departmental objectives.
- Continue to develop and maintain competencies in nursing tasks to maintain high quality safe care.
- Post holder will be expected to contribute to housekeeping and other ward / department duties as required, e.g. general tidiness, replenish stock and ensure clinical equipment is clean, working and stored correctly.
- Contributes to the work of the department by working under direct or indirect supervision of registered practitioners or assistant practitioners.

The role requires staff to work days and occasional weekends.

**Standard Check**: £18 + Administration cost of £3.85 = £21.85. Deducted at £6.85 from 1st month salary and £5 deducted from salary over following 3 months.

**Enhanced Check**: £38 + administration cost of £3.90 = £41.90. Deducted at £11.90 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
