Event Steward

If successful you will form part of our event safety team, acting as the eyes and ears of the event and above all, providing a level of customer service people can’t help but recommend. Events are truly something spectacular to be a part of This role is exciting and varied, you’ll work events at Chester Racecourse, Bangor-on-Dee racecourse, as well as many other events such as weddings, private events, festivals, national televised awards and shows - all at prestigious venues across the region.

**Working as an Event Steward you will be responsible for**:

- Welcoming guests to the venue
- Checking tickets
- Acting as a first point of contact for general enquiries
- Car park stewarding - Ensuring the safe access and egress of vehicles
- Monitoring crowd safety

**The successful Event Steward will have the following**:

- A friendly, approachable, and professional manner
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure

As a requirement of the role, we will train you in a Spectator Safety qualification.
- Whilst it is an advantage, no prior stewarding experience is necessary - we will train you in the role_

**Salary information **(hourly rates are inclusive of holiday pay):
If you already hold an NVQ Level 2 in spectator safety you will receive an enhanced rate of pay.
