**What will you be doing**

This role is an evolving role which will support the Financial Crime Data Office to ensure responsibilities defined in the Group Data Policy and Standards are understood and effectively managed across all aspects of Financial Crime processes working in partnership with primary stakeholders, bridging the gap between business and technology as it relates to data. In parallel, the role will lead programme/project initiatives vital to the growth and development of Financial Crime data strategy.

Key Accountabilities
- Oversight, review, challenge and leadership of a team of Data Partners, ensuring they are effectively partnering with the business and providing value add advisory capability for data at relevant Committees, Forums and Working Groups.
- Manage communications to stakeholders, ensuring they are actively engaged, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly understood and proactively managed.
- Be recognised as an expert in data management, working with the Data Dictionary Lead in ensuring adherence to the Group Metadata Standard across Financial Crime Data Domains.
- Lead the production of design patterns, data flow diagrams, confluence pages to help articulate key design decisions.
- Lead the production of comprehensive data designs (models, architecture and patterns) for Financial Crime working closely with the data domain owners and other architects as required.
- Provide advice, guidance and support to workstreams in defining their FC data requirements and target data outcomes.
- Create, maintain and publish data design principles and review programme artefacts for conformance against them.
- Drive the target state FC data architecture design with the Data Architecture Lead, in line with enterprise data architecture roadmap and relevant data architectural standards.
- Engage with BU / Function CDOs, CDAs, CIOs & CTOs, as required, to ensure alignment and interoperability of design.
- Design the bank-wide approach for FC data governance covering both operating in programme mode and in BAU.

- Build a culture of high trust, collaboration and engagement across primary stakeholders through effective management and business partnership.
- Convey a strong vision to deliver on commitments and obtain buy-in and influence across stakeholders and CDO.
- Identify, select, recruit, develop and retain a highly performing diverse, inclusion and dynamic team.

Decision-making and Problem Solving
- Takes a flexible, agile decision-making process to shape strategic direction, responding positively to changing internal and external circumstances
- Promotes a culture in which the needs and perspectives of a wide range of stakeholders and partners are at the forefront of decision-making
- Responsible for providing accurate, transparent and timely reporting to the Controls Chief Data Officer and any impacted Council member on metadata management adherence

**What we’re looking for**
- SME discipline in Financial Crime
- Demonstrable track record of successful project delivery, managing 20+ resources adapting to a changing environment across multiple priorities
- Excellent communicator, both in written presentations and verbal briefings, and excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to brief senior leaders and influence decisions
- Dedicated team player who is results-oriented with proven and effective leadership and line management

- Experience in data management, risk and controls within a financial services organisation, at a senior management level
- Professional qualification in project management
- Familiarity of Data, Records, Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting Policy & Standards
