**About the role**:
We are looking for an Assistant Product Developer to join our Womenswear teams in creating, selecting and overseeing the development of new products and existing products. Conducting research to identify market trends and customer needs. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing the product development process from concept to sign-off. Ensure that product specification meet quality, cost and time-to-market targets.
Work closely with key stakeholders to agree purchasing strategy, monitor sales trends and analyse customer demand to make decisions that align with the company’s sales goals and customer preferences.
**Trend Analysis and Market Research**
- Be aware of product trends, customer preferences and benchmarking through conducting comp shops and analysis, as requested by the Product Developer. Be prepared to give your opinions in meetings when asked to contribute.
- Conduct market research and analyse competitor products to identify future opportunities
- Working in conjunction with the Fabric Manager and Product Purchasing Team, help to manage the fabric development process, ensuring that all samples are received in a timely manner, in line with the critical path
**Product Planning and Strategy**
- Help to analyse sales data to inform product development and range building, as directed by your line manager.
- Work with Design teams to manage the range-building sample process, inline with the Critical Path
- Help to manage data to ensure that products are viable in terms of cost, profit, time, and resources through collaboration with purchasing teams
**Design and Development**
- Work closely with Designers to manage initial sketches, CAD drawings, or tech packs
- Communicate clearly with suppliers, mills and manufacturers to refine designs and select materials, as requested by your line manager.
- Support Product Development accountability for the delivery of the product pack and quantities to product purchasing team in a timely manner (in line with the Critical Path)
- Manage the initial sampling process, ensuring quality and adherence to design specifications
**Range Build and Sign-off**?
- Help to deliver a product proposition considering grading, range mix, options count and quantities?
- Support PD accountability to deliver margin targets?
- Conduct block review and initial fit approvals, liaising with Purchasing and Technical to ensure proper fit and comfort?

**About You**:
- Highly creative with exceptional communication skills
- Deep understanding of the fashion industry
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Be able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in fashion buying, design, têxtile engineering, or a related field
- Previous experience in clothing/buying product development, preferably within the fashion industry
- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Understanding of industry regulations, sustainability practices and quality standards
- Knowledge of Kidswear is preferred but not required.
