- We would love an enthusiastic placement student to join us from September 2024 in our Cambridge, head office._

What You’ll Do:_**
- The primary aim for Placement Students is to gain the appropriate experience and working knowledge, with the help of regular reviews, learning and study opportunities, to progress towards successful completion of their Assessment of Professional Competence to become MRICS qualified or alternatively to complete the CAAV qualificaition. Your day
- to
- day will include, but not be limited to, the following:_
- _
Working on valuations, diversification projects, landlord and tenant matters
,
grant sourcing, business plans, compulsory purchase/utility schemes, farm and rural estate agency, farmland investment and development schemes. Alongside assisting in general estate and farm management e.g. preparation of tenancy agreements, day to day estate matters, property inspections, looking for development and diversification opportunities, and analysing and processing data_
- _ Property management and maintenance: finding and supervising tenants for a variety of tenancies including agricultural and residential, negotiating and drafting tenancy agreements, serving a variety of notices, undertaking rent reviews, preparation of schedules of condition, seeking quotations for work and monitoring contractors_
- _ Creating and updating reports, inputting agreements, carrying out rent reviews, managing tenants' rents, and dealing with arrears in a timely manner_
- _ Preparing and submitting Basic Payment Scheme (BPS)_
- _ Support existing clients and help develop business generation skills to support business generation activities and initiatives_
- _ Gain a good general understanding of all services offered by the firm e.g. Planning, Forestry etc_
- _ Develop technical and professional skills towards and beyond APC/CAAV success_
- _ Report regularly to the APC Counsellor/ CAAV Advisor and draw attention to any shortfalls in skills, development or time allocated to particular work_
