**Equality and Inclusion Officer**

**Tate Recruitment**are currently working with a well known local authority within the Public sector in Colindale who employ around 500 staff and the parent company to 5 other dedicated services within housing, care and recruitment. We arelooking to recruit a self-motivated, dynamic, collaborative EDI?manager to lead a newly formed Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion team.

This is an exciting new role within EDI to assist in shaping and influencing the approach and improvement activities as well as the implementation of the new EDI Strategy.

You will develop and implement our Equality & Inclusion strategy to enable us to be a best practice civic leader in equality, diversity and inclusion, and reducing inequality.

**Principal Accountabilities**
- Support and lead on the delivery of projects and programmes of work required to ensure it complies with EDI legislation and its statutory responsibilities are upheld while poviding advice and guidance on eqaulities adgenda and promoting and maintaing strongrelationships
- Work closely with Head of HR, Heads of Service from across the business to lead and/or advise on equality, diversity, and inclusion work in relation to staff, customers, and stakeholders, working closely in particular with the Head of Strategy and Complianceand the Head of Community Engagement.

You will have experience of working in equality, diversity and inclusion and have good working knowledge of working with groups representing the 'protected characteristics' such as disability, LGBTQ+, and race / ethnicity. You will have a track record ofmaintaining positive working relationships with peers and senior colleagues, both internally and externally.
