Manchester, United Kingdom Siemens Full time

Siemens is offering a 12-month internship supporting the Sustainability team. As a global engineering and technology company with a 175-year history in the UK, Siemens provides innovative solutions to address major societal challenges. Join us to learn how our work impacts billions of people worldwide and contribute to environmental initiatives and community engagement.

In this internship, you'll work within the Sustainability team at Siemens UK, which focuses on environmental initiatives and Corporate Citizenship projects. These projects involve collaborating with schools, students, the community, and our internal Volunteering program. As part of our Intern Development Program, you'll receive individualized training to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for your role. By the end of the program, you'll be equipped with valuable experience to kickstart your professional career.

During the internship, you'll have a diverse range of responsibilities, including:

- Supporting the Schools & Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability Managers with partnership and project management.
- Coordinating the education portal by updating content, incorporating trends, and sharing engaging social media stories.
- Project managing community, school, and college engagement activities and collaborating with key stakeholders. You'll take the lead in managing education-related events, such as local STEM activities in schools.
- Assisting with sustainability issues for Siemens in the UK, focusing on our journey to Net Zero and other decarbonization topics. This work involves collaboration with various departments.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to drive decarbonization through data-driven, innovative projects. Your ideas and input will be highly valued.
- Working with the Marketing and Communications Manager to maintain education branding, update the website, manage social media presence, and create digital sustainability content.
- Supporting day-to-day activities, including monthly analysis reporting and team coordination.
- Contributing to talent management programs, work experience initiatives, and supporting Entry-Level Talent Acquisition projects and communication plans.
- Opportunities to travel within the UK for conferences, meetings with external partners, and supporting STEM engagement activities.
- Genuine interest in the environment, school/college education, and youth career development.
- Passion for equality, diversity, inclusion, and community outreach.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to create and deliver teaching resources, including digital formats.
- Proficiency in processing and interpreting data to streamline workloads.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of confidently engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively, build strong relationships, and improve business processes.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Website content development experience is a plus but not required.
- In addition to your role, you'll participate in our intern development program, focusing on softer skills such as communication, teamwork, commercial awareness, digitalization, and innovation. We offer ample career development opportunities, a competitive salary, and an excellent benefits package.

The total rewards package for this role includes a competitive salary of £20,550. We understand that everyone's lifestyle is unique, so we offer a flexible benefits scheme where you can tailor your package to suit your needs.

Join Siemens today and contribute to shaping the future through technology and sustainability.
