Hours; Mon to Thurs 6am-2pm 2pm-10pm rotating & Friday 6am-11.30am 11.30am-5.00pm

(Some flexibility may be required during periods of excessive demand).

Founded in 2014, this packaging company produce specialist printed, folded cartons.

Overview:
Printing Press Operator working with Lithographic, Sheet fed Litho Printer KBA presses. ensuring the smooth running of the printing machines producing high quality production.

Role:

- As a Printing Press Operator, you will Make ready and run the machines using job dockets to determine run speeds and any special instructions.
- Carrying out quality checks at pre-determined intervals throughout the running of the job.
- Ensure that all outputs conform to specification and quantity
- Carry out regular stock checks of consumables and spare parts, informing the relevant people when they require reordering sufficiently in advance to avoid shortages.
- Run customer agreed quantities specified on works job docket, never running over 10% over unless specified by production manager.
- As a member of a small team, you will be expected to cover for absenteeism and holidays and will perform any other duties as and when required this also includes signing first offs in the absence of the Print Manager.
- Adhere to the company’s strict quality, hygiene and health and safety rules always, ensuring there is good housekeeping in your area.

**Requirements**:

- An experienced print press Operator of Lithographic printing with a thorough understanding of the print/packaging industries and related businesses.
- Preferably have experience of running a KBA press but would consider someone who has used large format, 6 colour machines
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and to work on projects of a diverse scope.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to organise, priorities and follow through on projects.
- Able to work well under pressure with a disciplined and safe approach to achieving objectives and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A team player with good people skills.
- Ability to deal with and speak to engineers directly, depending on the nature of the fault.
