**Location**: Durban House, Bognor Regis, working 37 hours per week. Monday Tuesday Wednesday 8.15-4.15 Thursday
- Friday 8.15-4.00

**Interview date**: Week commencing 23 January 2023

Working as part of a small team, you will be responsible for handling large volumes of inbound client calls to support driver training courses that are delivered by West & East Sussex County Council on behalf of Sussex Police.

You will have regular contact with central ticketing, the police, driver trainers and members of the public, which demands a high level of knowledge whilst using a live booking system efficiently and effectively. This is in addition to the normal MS officesuite. You'll need to be able to focus for lengthy periods in order to manage incoming calls, create client bookings, take payments and create the necessary supporting documentation.

You will also be responsible for handling, processing and storing of confidential information in order to manage client bookings.

**Experience and Skills**

**Key Skills**:

- Sound communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact effectively.
- Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint (or equivalent packages).
- Ability to meet set deadlines and to understand when problems need to be referred upwards, such as responding to complaints promptly for a quick and accurate resolution.
- Ability to organise and present information clearly, concisely and accurately and in ways that promote understanding, either verbally or in written / electronic form with limited guidance.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to be analytical/judgemental or creative where there is a need to interpret a variety of information or situations in order to solve problems or develop solutions such as analysing statistics or organising events.

**Qualifications and/or experience**:

- NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification or experience in a relevant field (at least one year).
- Administrative qualification or equivalent experience - Desirable
- Relevant technical knowledge of procedures and practices associated with operating an administrative service.
- Experience of working within administrative office systems / practices.
- Experience of providing an efficient administrative service to clients.
