_The M40 motorway is just over 123kms long linking London M25 with its second city Birmingham. Traffic levels are high ranging from 90,000 to 140,000 daily. The contract is for routine O&M maintenance with a separate contract variation to provide a dedicated incident repose unit. _
- There are 93 staff across 3 depots. The contract includes the provision of dedicated staff to manage, road incidents, road availability and road-space booking as part of the South Mimms Network Control Centre NCC). _
**MISSION & MAIN ACTIVITIES**:
- The NCC Operator will:_
- _Have an understanding of Motorway Incident Management and to take on that role representing the M40 working with National Highways._
- T_o adhere to policy, procedures and protocols for the M40 DBFO contract._
- _Support the 24/7 operation and to assist with cover for shifts, sick leave and holiday periods._
- _Record data on all databases and spreadsheets to meet the Highways England Audit requirements._
- _To ensure the Daily, Weekly, Monthly Report & KPI information is obtained, validated and is submitted on time._
- _Liaise with ISU operatives, Foreman, Works Managers, Senior Managers and Highways England Traffic Officers for M40._
- _Deal with all matters relating to Health and Safety._
- _Engage in the Winter Maintenance Process and Procedure._
- _Respond to the Customer Contact Centre Enquiries including distribution to UK Highways & closeout with Highways England Contact Centre, and updating of register to meet KPI's._
- _Record and supply data for the green claim & red claim process._
- _Manage Road space and ensure the Network Event Management System is correctly completed to include clash analysis._
- _Record and check Abnormal Load Movements against exception criteria._
**SKILLS REQUIRED**:
- _Excellent customer service skills _
- _The ability to remain calm under pressure _
- _Excellent organisation skills _
- _Manage client systems_
- _Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage_
- _Flexibility to work a 4 on-4 off-shift pattern and 12-hour shift _
**Salary**: £27,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
