**Overall Purpose of Job**

This role is cover for cleaning staff absences as and when required. When needed you will be responsible for maintaining designated public and private spaces to a clean and tidy standard. Duties will include vacuuming, mopping, surface cleaning, dusting, and bathroom services.

**Specific responsibilities/duties**

The post holder will be based at our Morecambe building.

The responsibilities of the post holder will include:

- Responsibility for all basic cleaning in and around our offices toilets and corridors.
- Cleans floors and rooms including damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows.
- Cleaning all communal areas, including restocking dispensers, emptying rubbish, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot cleaning partition doors and walls, sweeping and mopping tile floors, and cleaning toilets and urinals.
- Vacuums, emptying trash, and replacing bin liners.
- Performs additional duties as needed.

**Experience and Qualifications**

**Essential**

Understanding of health and safety within the workplace.

Ability to work cohesively as part of a team

**Desirable**

Previous cleaning experience

Experience of using different cleaning equipment

**Knowledge and Skills**

**Essential**

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Highly responsible and reliable

Ability to work on own initiative

Good problem solving skills

**Qualities and competencies**

**Essential**

Self-motivated and positive attitude with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise in a busy environment.

**Job Type**: Zero hours contract

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 15 per week
