**About the Role**

The Health, Safety and Quality Team provides health and safety advice, support and guidance to all Lancashire County Services and the majority of Lancashire Schools. The function of the team is to ensure that the County Council fulfils its legal responsibilities under health and safety legislation.

**Key Accountabilities**

The postholder will support all aspects of the work of the Health and Safety Management Team and Health and Safety Officers. They will also be responsible for a varied workload of their own encompassing all aspects of health and safety, including but not limited to:

- assisting in the development of the county council's occupational health & safety guidance
- updating and maintaining the health and safety website
- the publication of health and safety communications
- arranging radon monitoring
- supporting the preparation of Hand Arm Vibration and Noise monitoring reports
- gathering and analysing accident/incident trend data
- assisting with queries relating to the occupational health service contract
- providing health and safety advice and support to Lancashire County Council managers and staff.

The postholder may from time to time be required to drive to premises and schools within the geographical footprint of Lancashire County Council to support their development in the role.
